CHANGELOG - v0.15


The first Update for Project Buoyancy has been out for a week now and with it came quite a few changes.

GAMEPLAY

  • Added view control (RS/Mouse) within a limited angle for better visibility.
  • Adjusted view camera position closer to the boat.
  • Added GameOver and GameFinished screen with their own menus (Retry/Restart).
  • Added taking screenshots (LB/F12) (saved in Gamefolder/WS_Prototype01/Saved/Screenshots/WindowsNoEditor).
  • Added and tweaked camera blocking volumes at appropriate places.
  • Fixed some spots where you could move outside of the designated corridor (outside of Level).

UI

  • Custom button visuals.
  • Updated controls layout artwork.

VISUAL

  • Adjusted fog to be thicker.
  • Adjusted Post-Processing for a darker cinematic tone.
  • Added a first iterative Outline Shader in PP.
  • Updated the boat model with more details (engine, seats, etc.).
  • Added a buoy model as indicator for the end of the Level.
  • Added a Wetness Shaderfunction for all Materials (except ground mat, for now).
  • Adjusted watersim foam contrast to look more simple/toony.
  • Adjusted water Normals, Waves and Material to look more believable for the environment.
  • Updated rain particles to look more believable.
  • Added a Blockout of a derailed train on the bridge for a more interesting shape/silhouette.
